I have backpacked around all of Australia and find the Glenelg beach hostel to be one of my favorites. I have actually returned there multiple times in the last year. It is right in downtown and a block from the beach. There are great restaurants all around (and pretty cheap too). The staff is fun and personable. The newly added bar downstairs is always a good time. Not to mention the large kitchen & lounge area. This is a great hostel & highly recommended from one backpacker to another! less
