we had a fantastic time in the Cribs apartment. It is in a great location, with easy access to the whole of Amsterdam. The friendly staff made check in really easy and even came and met us where our friends were staying and walked us round to the flat (we arrived early but were able to check in then which was really handy). The staff were really helpful when we had no hot water and came round straight away to sort it out. A couple of things to improve on would be to provide extra toilet roll and maybe hand towels in the bathroom and kitchen and also to prewarn people that they take a 100 euro deposit on arrival too (which we got back at the end). We were also a little bit confused about not being aware that the people who lived in the flat above would come and go, through our flat. They were very friendly and polite but we were all woken up on one of the mornings to hear them coming in through the front door, completely unaware of who they were to begin with. They also had access to the flat's kitchen which again was a bit odd. I think we wouldn't have minded so much if we'd been warned about this. All in all though the apartment was spot on. This issue didn't spoil our stay. We'd definitely book with them again. close

For a £5 per night extra, than a hostel, this is deffinatley the way to experience Dam.. Highly recommend it to everyone.

absolutely amazing. i stayed there with my mum, uncle and friend, and we absolutely loved it. very nice inside, even though some work is needed, but it definetly has character and is the perfect location as smoking is allowed on the boat :) mini bar there is fantastic when you have the munchies. close

What a fantastic way to spend a few days in Amsterdam. The boat is lovely, quiet location, very clean, close enough to be near the action yet far enough away for some peace and quiet (10 min walk). great facilities on the boat, internet access, kitchen etc. Will definately be back for another stay. Would be ideal for two couples as two bedrooms and shared facilities. Very nice hosts. would reccomend++++++++++. Linda and Rich (from uk) close

It was a great experience- the houseboat was very comfortable, and very clean. There was more amenities in the rooms than we had expected-- we should have brought our dvds or music! The place is just what you need while in Amsterdam-- a quiet, peaceful retreat to the canal, only about a 15 minute walk from the red light district. It was perfect for those few days. We didn't really see much of Jonas, but what we did see of him, he was pleasant. I would definately do it again. close

The hostel location was superb, right at the edge of Red light district and facing the small canal. Good sized room and clean too....more

The hostel location was superb, right at the edge of Red light district and facing the small canal. Good sized room and clean too. Need to bring own padlock which can be purchased at the reception. I hooked up with few guys and girls staying in same room and we definitely have a whale time in Amsterdam ! I recommend this hostel to everyone looking for hostel with good location, but not for someone looking for peace or privacy. close
