Only drawback was it's a little way out of downtown Anchorage and the public transport isn't great so can make for a long walk or wait at the bus stop. Otherwise everything is top notch - clean, free internet, kitchen, friendly and helpful staff. No lockers though. less

Great staff, though when I got there I had to wait 2 hours to get in. I stayed in Anchorage for the worst time of the year, nothing going on, which wasn\'t the fault of the hostel. But they even shut down the internet terminals, which they didn\'t announce on hostelworld. location is ok, but not if you\'re in need for internet! Lots of long term residents (some really nice, some really weird). Go there only in the summertime, then it must be great! Marie was awesome! less

The room I was in first was really cold, but it was no problem to change rooms and the staff did everything to make me feel more comfortable. The common areas are quite nice but the dorms are pretty bleak, not cozy at all. The kitchen was not very clean.
You get a discount on a bike rental, which you should really go for and cycle the Coastal Trail. less
