This place spectacularly located in the Umbrian hills, and the suite is brand new and beautiful. It is 5 km outside of Assisi so you either need a car or to call the owner of the hotel, who is a taxi driver. For a small fee, he will drive you to and from Assisi. It is really beautiful, clean and pleasant, and breakfast was a great, homemade, fresh pie. I highly recommend it! less

In this Bed&Breakfast you will really feel at home. the owner is very kind and will provide you with any information and help you need. He can speak English fluently.
The B&B is located in a comfortable house countryside. The landscape views from the rooms are very pleasant, and there are some nice restaurants nearby. Assisi is just 30min away by car.

Special note: the owner is adorable, very helpful, he knows the area perfectly and can help you in your choice of visits. Moreover he's fluent in english so no problem for the communication.
I defitnitely recommend this place for everybody. less

This is a GREAT place to go when you are in need of a good night sleep in a comfortable bed and a squeaky clean room!! Did I mention a free AMAZING breakfast and AC!!! it is a bit in the valley, but only 1 km walk to the train staion and 500 meters to the bus stop! Well worth it!!! lessDanielle (from USA), May 2007:

I had a great stay at the hostel - the building is an old farmhouse just under the old town with gorgeous views. However, knowing a few things before I left would have made my stay MUCH better. First, better directions - I ended up needing to call for directions when I was in Assisi, but once I did, I had no trouble finding the hostel (which is a 15 minute walk all uphill to St. Francis Basilica - you probably want to take a bus uphill after arriving at the train station - 0,90euro - and then walk down with any luggage!). Second, I wasn\'t a fan of the dinner which was more like college cafeteria food than the wonderful food I ate in Italy up to that point. For 4euro more than the 10euro dinner I had at the hostel the first night, I got a wonderful meal in the old town the second night. Breakfast, however, was great with unlimited tea (or american style coffee), a large fresh roll, a sweet pastry, and lots of sliced bread (Nutella included, too!). Third, I\'d suggest bringing a flashlight if you\'re going to be out after dark. The road the hostel\'s on is not well lighted coming from the old town. less
