The Place was great. All needs are catered to. If you are going to Baden Baden then the Schweizer Hof is an excellent choice. We stayed three nights. Coming by train is how we were always traveling and the train system in the region is a little compicated. we had about three minutes to change trains at Karlsruhe but we just caught one an hour later. you take a bus to get there (the hotel lists the line). it will stop in front of another hotel on the opposite side of the feldspielhaus (which is right next door to the Schweizer Hof). We rented bikes ("Underground" at the Casino's (Kurshaus's) parking garage. We rented a car with Europcar (Front desk helped trmendously) and Europcar droped it off at the hotel for us. We Drove to Cologne on the Autobahn and it was great. About a four hour or five hour journey but we stopped off in Stuttgart a bit. The hotel had accessable internet and even a printer! Very good breakfast, choises all around. Anywayz, it was a blast! The Schweizer Hof was great. - Rob close

Lady managing the hostel disorganised: thrown off by our late arrival- didnt reply to earlier confirmation e-mail. Didn't tell us when someone was coming for payment, they just showed up! Had to move rooms mid-stay. Wasn't clear kitchens only in some doubles. Rooms were very nice, clean and in a great location. close

Waldhotel Forellenhof is set in a quiet and relaxing setting on the edge of the Black Forest. Far enough away from the city center of Baden-Baden but close enough where you could catch a bus and be in the city center in 10 minutes. It is at the end of the 201 bus line which is the main bus line that goes right through the center of town. Buses run every 15 minutes for the most part of the day. The hotel itself was quaint and reminded you of a country setting with the small river and bright green trees only yards from the dining area (indoor or outdoor). The wood carvings of the chandeliers and light fixtures were delightful to look at. The rooms and bathrooms were large and each possessed a porch. The staff was extremely accomodating and cheerful. The food served was excellent. My wife and I only sampled the fish dishes at dinner and each one was excellently prepared. The seasonings and sauces used were delicious and was very well complemented by the white wine they had available which was from the Alsaice area in France. At the Waldhotel Forellenhof you are not too far away from the shopping, theater, casino, nature, or the legendary baths. It was a jewel of a find for us and we are definitely planning on returning again. close

The hotel is right off the autobahn and it\'s one of those 24/7 places so any food or drinks you want at anytime is right there. Very convenient. Beds were clean, they were two seperate twin beds, bathroom smelled a little funny, great water pressure, receptionists were very nice. It was about 5 minutes from downtown (driving). close
