I had a most excellent stay at the Bar Harbor Hostel. It was end of the season (for the town, the park, the hostel, just about everyone) so Bar Harbor itself was pretty quiet. But I still got to enjoy everything being open without the crowds. Jeff (the keeper of the hostel), keeps the place very clean, and is uber friendly. The hostel was in no way full this time of year, but all the people I met were wonderful. less
