There is only one word for this hostel - incredible! It is situated a 10 minute walk from the bottom of the badaling wall. It is a traditional courtyard and the rooms are decorated in a traditional style and spotlessly clean. We were lucky enough to be the only ones staying and were invited to join the owners for their family dinner which was very special. You are treated more as a friend than a customer. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back! less

We wanted a hostel through which we could arrange airport pickup and drop-off and that was available at Kelly's.

This Courtyard is a hidden gem. It is pretty quiet for being in the middle of Beijing. The room was a little small, but it didn't bother us much since it was clean and cozy. The staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating and helpful. Plus, Jane and Sandy speak very excellent English. We would definitely recommend a stay at this quaint hotel. less

There are four lovely cats in Chinese Box Courtyard. I played with them everyday. The decoration is excellent, full of traditional Chinese style. Joe is just like your friend, very helpful. They gave me many dumplings made by themselves when I arrived at the first night, make me feel warm. So, it is good! less

The hostel has a lot of character about it and the staff is top notch. The owner even cooked us a delicious meal for free! I'd recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Beijing for sure! It is located close to the Fuchengmen Subway Line, so it's not too close to Tianamen Sq. like we thought. It is very easy to get around though. less

Absolutely lovely hostel! If you're planning to stay in Beijing, this is definitely the place to be, in the oldest and most picturesque part of the city. Every morning we had walked around with a views of many local people playing Pingpong and all kinds of exercises. Lovely courtyard . The staff of the hostel is awesome; if you ask some advice, you'll get a suggestion with whole day route, etc. Love to stay there again and recommend this for everyone! less

The hostel is very close to the forbidden city which makes it an ideal location for early morning treks. I stayed in two seperate types of rooms here in which I saw a huge disparity (but I did pay 45 for one and 60 for the other, so I guess a disparity is needed.) Most of the staff speaks English and are more then helpful to accommodate any of your needs. I would definitely stay here again. less
