Slovakian pub:many students, was big accommodation, but cozy, good price. Busstation nearby (walk 15 minutes): to Vienna and other places. For a weekend or 3days okay. Helpful staff. We stayed in a twin bed private room (4)which was poor. We were badly bitten by bed bugs. Considering the room is the same price as many three star hotels in the city we were not happy. Upon check in there was no attempt to show us the main hostel and facilities as this was located seperately. The rooms on the other building don\'t seem to be safe, only on the main building. The restaurant/bar is really good and cheap, but it is a shame that it closes at midnight. less

Staff were extremely sociable & willing to help, bathrooms always smelled like someone had just died, and kitchen was the size of the shower (yet still managed to fit everything you'd need). Large under-the-bed lockers. We arrived at the Red Star Hostel in the late afternoon we were not impressed by the accommodation but still decided to stay as we had no where else to go. We put down our bags and went out for the evening we arrived back at the accommodation about midnight by 2.30 we had enough and decided to run away from the filthy, disgusting place. We sat for hours in the station but anything was better than sleeping in those rotten beds. The smell of bodies haunt those rooms. PlEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL less
