My group specially loved to do the tour offered by the hostel to Transilvania and other places with Puiu that was the best guide ever!!! They tried their best to exceed our needs (one of the girls offered to send our postcards!). The girl at reception was also helpful but not really patient and friendly... East is beautiful!!! Don\'t let the outside fool you, one of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in!!! The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, the breakfast is great!!! and the restaurant down the road is really quite cheap and serves delicious food. Is easy to find if coming from Gara de Nord-just walk down Calea Grivitei, if coming from the airports, invest in a cab w/ GPS (or take the express train to Gara de Nord). East is the best thing about Bucharest!!! less

The staff at Happy Hostel is amazing and goes out of their way to help you. One met us at the subway station to take us to the hostel.
The hostel is nice providing basic needs to travelers (a bed/ kitchen).
