The strengths of this place are the staff and location. If you show up without having any tours booked no problem, they will get you the best prices on quality tours for just about anything you would want to do in Cape Town. Live music and DJ's every night and don't forget the Sunday Braai. Call or email them to arrange airport transfers, you can't beat the price and reliability. Great location on Long Street which is relatively safe to walk around and has all you need such as shops, bars and restaurants.
Very secure with keycode entry for the main gate, a key to each room and full size lockers in the dorms.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The only slight downside was I booked a 4 bed dorm and got a 5 that you needed to walk through a 2 bed room to get to. But as it was quiet when I was there, it wasn\'t really an issue.
All in all, a nice place to stay. less

They had honest opinions on things and were always keen to get us a good deal. The Kitchen is great, a freezer would be nice though. There was a great atmosphere promoted in general. The beds are very very comfy! I like the individual safes and reading lights. ich bin fuer drei Monate in Kapstadt und habe mich nach wenigen Tagen entschieden die ganze Zeit im sunflowers stop zu verbringen. Es lebt sich hier wie in einer kleinen Familie. Das Hostel mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und das Personl ist sehr herzlich und bemueht sich alle Wuensche zu erfuellen. Besonders als Alleinreisende ist es super hier so gut aufgenommen zu werden. Vom Komfort ist es etwas wie in einem Hotel-die Betten werden jeden morgen gemacht..immer wieder! less

When I got there, it was a bare, tiny 10x5ft room with no overhead light and right by the busy street. Sounds from passing cars was very loud. I was moved to a dorm room. But very close and actually nicer location.Not party, party (at least when i was there!) but good, clean, spacious and friendly place for meeting fellow travellers. Spent a month in SA and this was one of the nicest. less

As a hostel which won some awards I was not very impressed. Double room rate of 450R is too much for what you get. Many B&B are the same price with daily cleaning, TV , Coffee etc. So the price ist too much. Location is very good as you can walk to all the restaurants around green point. less
