When we arrived at the Pandian the reception staff insisted that our reservation was not valid and that they did not deal with Hostelworld as a booking agent. I beleive this was done mainly because we had booked in August a considerably reduced rate which they no longer agreed with. I insisted that I did not care if they dealt with you anymore because they obviously had an account with you at that time and that it had confirmed the details that I had a copy of. Bottom line ... they would not honour the price although when the manager was called he did agree that they had an account with you and offered a 10% discount to their current price. We inspected the room and were not at all satisfied and did not stay at the hotel regardless of the fact that they received their percentage of my deposit which I feel should be returned under the circumstances and mistreatment received. I would certainly not recommend that Hotel to anyone and we have completed a portion of your survey on the basis described above. less
