Lovely. Riomaggiore isn't the prettiest of the five towns, but it's still very charming. Only downsides to the room we stayed in was the three flights of steep stairs (sucks if you're a smoker) and noise levels (you could hear what the people downstairs were talking about...). Overall though clean, comfortable, spacious... we really liked it. less

Simply amazing. Be sure to call ahead before climbing the 100 stairs to the place so they can greet you. The view is indescribably beautiful, especially in Room 4. Only equipped with a kettle, corkscrew and single plate so creativity for meals is required. NB: No wifi and internet cafe in town closed for winter (along with most businesses so plan ahead) Stay here! less

Great location, great room. But, it was quite hard to find, even with directions, and the owner was not there when we arrived, so we ended up having to just wait around for about 2 hours until he got there. Also, the seals must have been bad on the doors and/or windows because lots of misquitos and nats got into the room while we were sleeping and we woke up with bites. less

Relatively clean. Biassa is out of the way and so a bus or taxi is needed to get there and back each morning and night, but the town itself is cute and has it's own charm, I thought of it as getting to see 6 towns when I came to see only 5. Not a terribly exciting place, but if you just need a bed, it's fine. less

since it's located out of cinque terre in biassa, you have to commit to taking buses back and forth and you have to be back at the hostel around 8pm unless you want to hitch/taxi back up the hill. the staff is really nice, though, and the pizzeria down the street is really good (which you'll need since there's no kitchen). nothing wrong with the place as a hostel, though... less

OK location as the shuttles picked us up & dropped us off at the train station.
Basic camping, come here if you have your own cooking supplies as there is no kitchen (unless you want to go into town/nearby villages to eat).
No locks on the tents, lucky we had a car we for safer storage.
Seemed staff didnt monitor noise at night, one group kept us up until about 1.30am playing guitar & drinking, even after neighbours had politely asked them to keep the noise down. less
