Max and staffs provide excellent customer service, really made you feel at home. She is very resourceful, friendly and knows Yunnan province with intimate details. The room are comfortable with warm soft pillow and beds. Breakfast is a MUST order, the home-made Pizza and toast are best in class! The surrounding environment is just perfect, quiet and peaceful. This place is new and it is very convenient for a backpacker to stay there - they have internet, pool, bar and open area to sit and relax, 5 minutes walking from the old town. I didn't really like the idea of telling the staff to clean my room...I think that the basic cleaning should be done every day. But this is the only thing that bothered me. The staff was great, fulfilling my every wish, speaking great English. Over all, I would highly recommend this hostel. less

Poo smelling everywhere, dirty toilets and showers, food smelling from dishes, dogs etc. Thats why cleanliness only 20%.
