Very welcoming and friendly! Excellent breakfast (fruit, cheese, yogurt, cereal, etc) Very helpful, considerate and generous. Nice quiet street. Plenty of hot water, heat and comfy blankets. Always a warm fire and a friendly smile. Variety of guests from S Africa, USA, Italy, and Hungry. No loud drunks. Cannot say enough good things! Excellent hostel.Centrally situated very clean, warm, and well maintained with spotless comfortable beds.Paula the owner is great,very helpful and had everything ready for our visit even though we were the only guests the nights we stayed (sometimes standards slip a little this late in the season but they certainly had not at this hostel)This is a very good hostel and I would definately stay there again. Leider war die Saison am 1. September schon vorbei, deßhalb gab es im Ort kein Essen mehr und im Pup war auch nichts los. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. In der Küche könnte eine Flasche Spülmittel stehen. Im Bad fehlte der Spiegel. Hacken für die Jacken wären sehr hilfreich. less

It is a really long walk if the bus doesn't drop you at the door! But you can just call them to pick you up. Otherwise Anascaul was my favorite place of the whole trip around Ireland. The South Pole Pub, Alice, and the music was incredible. The owners of this hostel are so nice and welcoming. Stay here! less

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL!!! For some reason this hostel is closed for winter and didn\'t take their listing off hostel world. This meant that we arrived at the hostel in the rain and dark after booking a room through hostelworld and noone answered the door. We called the number on the outside to find they were closed for the winter.
