I was pretty happy with this place. It's deceptively big, and was very busy on the Saturday/Sunday I was there, but mostly well organised and clean, and in a fairly handy location. One of the best hostels I've stayed at, if not the best. Very clean and well-kept. Sheets, towels and bedding provided (the mattresses aren't great though). Free tea, coffee and cocoa! :) Will def stay here again if I'm ever in Edinburgh. less

Perfect location! Very cozy! Big lounge downstairs with a kitchen, tables, and couches. Games to play. The only thing is the wifi can only be picked up in the lobby which can be crowded because everyone is there at night using their laptops and there was a funky old smell. I booked a 12 person male only dorm and ended up in a 8 person mixed dorm though. less

The common area and bar is good. Definately go the 12 bed dorm over the 10 bed dorm- (i had to do a swap for one night) - the bathrooms are much better, the room just a better size. The 10 bed dorm wasnt cleaned by the Friday I swapped to there and really needed to be. Net is expensive, staff not overly interested. But its not too bad. less
