Located within walking distance from the main train station, or a short subway ride, we were pleased to use this hotel before heading to the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Felt more expensive than it was. Staff were very helpful at all hours of the night. When I got there, I was told that they had stopped accepting bookings, and as a result I was actually given a room at the City West Mercator. I was told to catch a taxi for 8 Euros - declining, I instead took the U-Bahn five minutes to find it. It is in a far quieter (less delightfully red-light) area, its staff were excellent, its breakfast was quite good, and its rooms were large and clean (even if the television reception was appalling). The red-light district didn't seem dangerous to me, and what most reviews haven't pointed out is the variety of Internet Cafés and multicultural restaurants also found near the City-West. closeBook Now / All Reviews

Friendly, helpful staff. Around the corner from the main train station. Small but adequate neat and clean room. No face cloths but plenty of face soap, shampoo, towels and hot water. A/C did not work, heat still on. Located on a busy street, so little noisy when windows opened, but otherwise quiet and peaceful.
