When I arrived at this place, it was closed down and I was directed to another hostel (Makuto) just three doors down the street. Mochi was good enough to book me into the other hostel, which was the same price and also honored my deposit. I learned later that Mochi was shut down by authorities because it was operating with no licence.
Makuto, however, is an excellent hostel, with a very relaxed atmosphere, and great staff. I would definitely recommend Makuto and stay there again myself. less

This is a great hostel all round, but the only reason I´m dissing the staff is that I got charged a 5 euro deposit for renting a towel (for 1 euro) by the lady at the desk when I checked in - and the guy at the desk when I checked out refused to accept that I had paid any such deposit, so that was 5 euro down the drain! Not cool! less

I think that Hostal Antares offers excellent value for money. Of course there are some small things that could be slightly improved (cleanliness in bathrooms and toilets, safe lockers for valuable things, etc.) but in my opinion you shouldn't expect "luxuries" for less than 20 EURO/night, so for me everything was OK. The location is just perfect but the most valuable "asset" is hostel's staff: wonderful, friendly people, ready to help you in any moment. I will come back there for sure!!! less
