This is a five star bed-and-breakfast: great people, exceptional service, beautiful home, wonderful food, spacious and private rooms. Don't pass up on the dinner option -- the owner is a gourmet cook. I felt so at home there that I didn't want to go out. The pool, the garden, the hammock, the sound of the fan palm, the smell of my dinner cooking were entertainment enough. The DVDs and guest computer were there just in case. less

Our room´s floor was filthy and there was no housekeeping during our stay. NO hot water. The father/owner was pleasant but did not speak much english; daughter was aloof and unhelpful. Place is far from downtown so it was quiet at night. The pool was a nice diversion though since Guayaquil had not much to offer but the Parque de las Iguanas, the Malecon and a dangerous vibe. (There was a mix up with the room - we reserve twin, not double -and daughter tried to blame HostelWorld.) less
