We found the information false and was charged 8 Euro's per person.
Just for the future i would advise not to tell the guests this.

This hotel was very good for the price you pay, it´s clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you´re looking for the "backpacking ambiance" this is NOT the place for you, but if you want to get some sleep it´s OK. The thing is that it is REALLY FAR FROM THE CITY CENTER... you have to walk 20 min. to the nearest S-Bahn station and then ride in the S-Bahn for at least 15 min. to get to the city center, which for us was really bad. I recommend you find a hostel or hotel downtown. less

This hostel is good value for the money. The location is a little further out of the city centre and is in the middle of housing/industry - so there are no shops/restaurants nearby. We had 2 Heavy luggages (about 32Kg each) as well as 2 other trolley bags and were "upgraded" to a nice spacious room with stove (but without pans) and private bathrooms and WC. the catch is....we'd to lug all that up 5 steep stairs!!!! and the shower is not very good. It switches from extreme cold to hot spontaneously. The drainage for that was bad too as it seems to choke up quite abit.
