First of all, the family that runs this place is great! Once you figure out how to walk there it only takes about 5 minutes from the centre, but I suggerst you utilise them picking you up. my only complaint is the drainage in the 8 bed dorm sucks and the bathroom flooded - perhaps stick to showers and don't have a bath? less

We had the best time. Lucka is a fantastic host and as it was off season he got his cousin to come and cook for all the guests every night was great for meeting people and faboulous food. Loved this place, just outside of old town so bit of climb to and from beach/harbour but the views were fantastic- you can't have everything! Very clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely balcony. Has ceiling fan instead of air-con but we didn't need it in Sept. less

This place was fantastic and we could have easily stayed a whole week. Maria and Franje were fantastic and Maria even did our washing for us. Our whites have never been so white. Super clean,comfy beds(max 2 in a room!), excellent shower, fully equipped kitchen. The couple who run the hostel are so so lovely and helpful. I definitely recommend it. The walk up the hill is good to burn off the icecream, and it means you're closer to the beach. Make sure you do all your internet stuff before getting to Hvar as the cafes are expensive & stock up on mosquito repellent as there are lots in Hvar!

Was quite clean, though the floor didn'T seem to have been washed, your socks and bogs were dirty from the floor, but otherwise it was clean where it really mattered.

This a good location not far from the harbour and the room and bathroom was spacious and clean. I was met by the owners mother who spoke no English so was unable to get any info on the town. There was no common area provided and, I think, no other guests so lacking a bit in atmosphere but maybe it was the time of year. The owner was very friendly and gave us a choice of rooms and offered to pick us up from the boat. The decor of the apartments were very nice. It was quite good value at a last minute booking and a brilliant location to Hvar town. However there was no air conditioning and the family who owned the apartments were very strange. We were given out to for speaking past 11.30 and my friend found the owner going through her belongings while cleaning out her room. This may have been innocent as we did not however have anything missing. I would not recommend this for young people. less

Small hostel run by a friendly couple. At the top of a hill that although isn\'t in the heart of the town, provides excellent views. No internet and nothing is free. For example we had to pay to use a frying pan in the kitchen. Also the outdoor patio closes at 10pm so it\'s not the funnest place. less
