I have travel all around Scotland this year, and all around Ireland last year, and I´m really sure that this is the worst I have ever been. Quite expensive too. There are many others places to sleep quite more economic and really wonderfull un inverness city and in inverness shire, but this isn´t one. We have bad luck with it. less

This Hostel is called a Student Hostel for a reason, the vast majority of the staff and clientele is in their 20's, this makes the Hostel a lettle noiser than the other 6 Hostels i stayed in in Scotland. So if your going for a rest this may not be right for you but if you dont mind staying up late into the night, playing music, having a drink and good discussions then this is a good friendly welcoming place to stay, although not in anyway luxurious. less

The location is great, close to transportation and city centre. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You have to use a funny bed wrap to sleep in, kinda awkward, but ok. The oven could really use some instructions, I think it perplexed plenty of people. The Hootananny (Pub) up the road is good value! I would recommend this hostel. less

"60% fun" needs an explanation: the fun the youngsters had in the room above mine was very disturbing. It went on until nearly midnight even though I asked them to be quiet so late at night.
The staff should make sure that such disturbances are curbed. I appreciate that the responsibility lies with the leader of a group of youngsters. But a large sign in each room to 'forbid' jumping around, shouting, loud laughing etc. may be of help. less
