Great hostel, perfect location, drinks at the bar were a little expensive but that might be different now. Staff was awesome, came to find me when I couldnt find the place initially, drank with us and even took us out at night. This was a convenient hostel and I'd recommend people to stay here. It was handy being walking distance from the main shopping street and the central area where all the major nightlife is based. The staff were helpful in providing useful information on what to do and where to go around the surrounding area and also allowed us to check in when we arrived earlier than the check-in time. The room was of a decent size and the food served in the hostel cafe was good quality and reasonably priced. less

Metropolis hostel is definetly one of the best hostel l have been. it was very nice and clean. breakfast serving at roof terrace is the best part of hostel and it makes great start for a nice day. staff is very friendly and helpfull and always ready to help you. free internet is provided and also there is free wifi if you have your own laptop or ıphone. there is very cheap airport transfer from front door and you can just book with reception for 4 euros. definetly recommended and great value lesstingchen7235910 (Novice Nomad from China), November 2009:

Enjoyed our 3 night stay, messed up our room booking and had to settle for single beds on first night. Excellent location, very helpful with tour bookings and information on istanbul. Very quiet place with paper thin walls, dont expect to party all night. Good beakfast, friendly family atmosphere. Booked this place for 4 nights, but extended the stay by another 4, because liked it so much. Staff is very warmhearted and helpful. View from the terrace is awesome. Rooms are cleaned every day. Only thing I would have changed was the heating; we were travelling during November and the room was quite cold at times. less

Des mon arrıvée dans cette auberge j aı pu découvrır la musıque turque au travers d un petıt concert dans leur jardın et bar (tres sympa).
Les deux amis qui ont crées cette unıque auberge en asıe on réussı a faıre un lıeu ou l on se sent comme chez soı et ou l on rencontre des gens de tout horızons. We had a double room with shared bathroom. The room was basic but good enough. We only had to share the bathroom with one other room. Not much of a hostel vibe but does have a common area with computers and a kitchen. I thought the hostel was good value, was clean and the staff were great. Easy to get to from airport and bus station using public transport even with our packs. Dont imagine you will find a better place for a double room at the same cost in old istanbul. less

Nice rooftop bar and comfortable bed, but two major problems. One, when we came back to the room, cockroaches were everywhere! Even in out toiletry bags crawling all over our toothbrushes! And in our food too. Nothing was spared, we had to throw out a lot and completely clean out our bags. The other was the worst shower I have had, its hard to wash properly when the entire shower system falls off and the water is spraying straight out of the wall at waist height.
