I haven't seen such a dirty place in my life after have visited more than 16 countries and have sleept in more than 20 hostels in the world. There are only 3 rooms with windows but you will only have the opportunity to sleep there if you pay a fortune. In other words, it\'s not a hostel, it\'s a cave. No way Jose !!!!! less

the stuff in reception was ok. the stuff on breakfast buffet was inattentiv, nonprofessional and lazy. That the hostel creditcards not accepts is a great drawback. I felt not good to pay a great amount in cash on this place and only with a oral bill. less

An awesome location, less than 100 metres from the Jaffa gate/citadel/church on the spot where jesus was supposed crucified. Lots of spots (cushions on benches and floors) to relax in. Knowledgeable front desk folk and a great veiw from the roof. less

New Palm Hostel is a very good hostel. The staff is friendly, the dormitories are clean and the location is superb. You can either walk further into East Jerusalem or via Damascus Gate into the Old City. I would recommend this hostel. I have been sleeping at similiar hostels in Damascus, Aleppo,Palmyra, Beirut, Cairo, Alexandria, Petra, Amman among other regional cities. This hostel ranks at the top in comparison.

This was an okay hostel. My room faced the street in front of a square where people played music at night, so it was kind of noisy when I was trying to sleep. The room itself, a double, was fine, and having use of the kitchen was nice since the hostel does not offer breakfast. I was also glad that the hostel was not located in the Old City because that probably makes it safer. Overall a good hostel for a reasonable price considering that Jerusalem is as a rule an expensive city for tourists. less

The toilets and showers were good and clean and so were the beds. The guy in the reception was however extremely inpolite and arrogant. He wouldnt answer questions. (`I have got that question so many times I dont want to answer it anymore...`) I hope he\'s not the only person working there and if you book this place that he\'s not working right then, because you dont want to meet him. less

OK for students. I am 58 and have stayed in other hostels with my family. I would not bring them to this one. The bathrooms were extremely small and one cannot put toilet paper in the toilet. The kitchen area is cramped and untidy. Staff very grumpy. Other guests not as cheerful and willing to talk as at other hostels. less
