It was close to the sights in the southern part of Kyoto and easy to access all the others. On my last night there we ended up all going out including Yoshi for Sushi and Karaoke. VERY central location for historical exploring, and about 10 minutes by bus and 25 minutes walk from the shopping district. only complaints were that check in isn't til 3pm.
