Lovely Scottish bar staff - heaps of fun. Overall Venice was an awesome place to stay in with friendly people around. Easier to get around by car though. The only negative point was the parking was on the street, and some of the parking metres didn't work, yet we still got a ticket. One of the best hostels I\'ve stayed at in 7 months of travelling. The staff are really helpful, especially Kerry - she\'s just plain awesome. I arrived a day later than I should of due to my flight being cancelled & when I arrived at the hostel my room was taken. Instead I was given a better room for the same price. After being in the air so long it was nice to be looked after upon arriving so thank you very much less

This hostel has a perfect location for the price, a 20 minute walk into the centre to all the attractions. The hostel seemed clean and safe although the rooms were a little small with a lot of beds squeezed in, this wasnt a problem though. There is a kitchen and bathroom in the room which were clean. The breakfast is good and the free tea and coffee. This place doesn't have the homey chillout feel that some hostels have.. it was more like a hotel which was perfect for me. It had higher standard than some hotels where I payed four times the price, everything is new and fresh and clean, they even fold the toiletpaper like in a hotel. I booked a dorm-bed, but got a two bed ensuite all to myself. Would definitely stay there again. less

The location is perfect, just a few meters away from the best place you can be in Hollywood, imposible to get any better situation. BUT the hostel was not that great, it was really old, kind of creepy style. Our room looked like it was part of a haunted movie. The kitchen and the TV room were really small for all the people we were trying to cook or watch something. Strategic location to explore West Hollywood and downtown LA. Close to metro, supermarkets and lots of Korean and other Asian restaurants. Taken care by a friendly Korean couple, the house comes in different bedroom sizes and a common lounge to prepare your food. On the negative side, the used plates, cutlery, pots and pans were left unattended in the sink thoughout my stay. Not affected since I ate out most of the time. Internet access available.
