We have just returned from aure vacation in Egypt. We stay at the Philippe Hotel in Luxor between March 12 and march 14. What can we say? Excellent value for a budget hotel. We were very happy with all aspects of the hotel. It was clean - spotless. The food was very good and the staff, cheerful, extremely nice, friendly and very helpfull - the nicest people we had ever met. Like almost all hotels in Egypt there is hotel security present. The top floor has a beautifull pool area - was perfect for aure teenagers ! This hotel was fantastic value for money! If we ever come back , we will stay here again. less

good hotel staff are very kind but they are depressed about one costomer did not come though he reserved by hostelworld.but he gave to them 20 percent answering the questionnaire of the hostel world.manager hassan is explained, Luxor is called other hotels terrible, and a Oasis hotel of struggling of the guest at the hotel, and there is a thing taken to other hotels. I have been a Reggae fan for a long time and the Bob Marley house truly keeps the good vibes going. The staff is extremely helpful, the breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the overall atmosphere made me feel at home. I highly recommend this hostel.

Had an awesome time at New Everst. Reggae was a dude and helped organise tours and went out of his way to hook us up with ferry tickets to Sharm. Good location, rooms are large and very clean. Best value for money so far in Egypt! Thanks heaps Reggae - email me should you ever make it to Oz! less

The staff is great : very kind, very helpful, very polite. They look like a big family, where each one do the best to make you feel at home. They also organize the tours. They have just oppened a new restaurant with excellent food and a nice ambiance for lounging.
It was the real egyptian experience for me ! I strongly recommend this hostel.

we like a beautiful roof terrace, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast.
especially the manager - Korean girl - is really nice and honest person.
Also she is brave :) - she fought with the taxi driver trying to overcharge us :)

Coldness and impoliteness at the time of the breakfast m' shocked (one never presented a table and it was necessary to ask oneself of the coffee). With the swimming pool, the quality of the mattresses and sunshades are deplorable (dirty) and there too the personnel is bad (it m' sometimes was necessary to wait 15 minute to have my drink…) less
