This place was great. The owners will go out of their way to help accommodate your needs. JUST ASK! There could have been a few small touches of cleanliness in the rooms and toilet that would have made it perfect... but otherwise it was "on point." A really nice place to stay in Luxor, everything was as advertised. There is no need to take a tour out of Cairo to Luxor, just hop on a train and stay here. Then do it yourself or these guys can help organise much cheaper trips for you. Recommended. less

This place was fantastic value for money. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable and I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. The staff were really helpful, & always willing to run out and pick things up for us to ensure we werent overcharged by the locals. The rooftop was perfect for chilling out in the shade. I called the day before my arrival and the hostel arranged for transportation from the airport (at 6:00AM) and allowed early check in. When I arrived I asked if they could set me up with a tour, and at 8:00AM I was on a guided tour. The service is great, the rooms are big and clean, and the showers have plenty of hot water. The rooftop cafe is casual, which I like, and is a place to chill with affordable beer and cheap, tasty local cuisine. Tried to sell tours as usual with some strange remarks (e.g. they will handle the permits for Abu Simpel for us, but there are now permits any more since come times), but that was in the usual amount of tour pushing in Egypt. less

Great owner and staff. The location was horrible though. The building was on a dirt side street about 5 blocks from the Nile. There was wandering herds of sheep and 5-12 year old kids wandering and screaming in the streets all day and night. The food was not great either. There is no hot water. The building is not taken care of that well either. I think they are trying to make is better though as repairs are being done. They organize good tour for me and this place is specially for backpacker with low prices and good facilities, have free internet and also pick me from the station. The room and the bathroom was good, and the the foods in the restaurant was great and cheap. i want to say thanks because i was lucky to book this hotel. less

Great place to stay with a really nice atmosphere. Big room with a balcony although the shower was a bit dodgy & shook when the hot water was running! The staff were really friendly but the tours were overpriced - we easily managed to organise a taxi around the west bank ourselves for less than half the price. There was buliding work going on so the roof terrace was closed but there is outside seating downstairs which was fine. They also gave us free transport to the bus station. Would recommend less
