Wonderful hostel, a very comfortable stay. I have stayed in many hostels in Lviv but this will always be my number 1 choice.

The hostel is very nice and clean. It is in walking distance from the center. I felt very welcome and comfortable. Mika was very friendly and helpful and speaks very good English. I can absolutely recommend the hostel and will go there again, when being in Lemberg.

I arrived late at night. It was dark in lviv because electricity was out. The taxi dropped me off at the hostel. Apparently the door bell did not work, so I had to bang the door. The hostel is located at the 3th level. The street where I was standing was pitch dark and nobody would respond to the bell or the banging for 10 minutes. So I left and checked in at the kosmonaut... which is a great place :-) less

Owner lied about not having any dorms available when I tried to change my reservation (a week prior) from a single to a private. Clearly, there were dorm beds available. Directions were impossible to find the place. Owner tried to charge me without subtracting my deposit. There is no reception at this hostel. The power went out on my last night. These things don't happen at good, experienced hostels. Good things are: location, big room, comfy bed, wifi, tv, owner arranged taxi for me. less

roxelana hostel is well located to lviv, trains buses etc. the rooms are very clean, good showers, my bed was comfortable. the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful booking my train tickets for me. the hostel has a good vibe and the girls on reception seem to take travelers out on the town every night!!!! great time will stay again, thanks igor. really good breakfast, eggs, cheese, ham, toast and loads of coffee.

Great location. Only a few minutes walk to old town. Food market just down the block. Under construction at the time of my stay. Not much to do, but sleep and, well sleep. Kitchen and lobby closes at 20:00. Bootom line- if you want a place with a central location and don't mind a lack of amenities for a few euros then stay here. Location is excellent.Both rooms i tried had troubles at being locked.Someone turned off electricity in my room twice.Staff is helpful.Sheets are too short and dont fit the bed.Heating is very poor,not exactly what you expect when you travel in december in Ukraine.It would be a nice place where to stay if they would charge a couple of $ more and buy new bed linen,fix keyholes and turn on heater longer while at the moment it's good just for saving money(i paid just 5 euros even the private room) less
