Staying at Oasis hostel felt like staying at a friend's place rather than a hostel. Gasper and team make sure everyone is enjoying the stay, they give superb advice on everything (from tours, activities, restaurants, nightlife etc.).

Very nice hostel -- lots of room in the common areas & kitchen. Three blocks from the Alameda, on a quieter residential street. Spotlessly maintained -- large clean bathrooms. I stayed in a private room. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.
This was like staying in a motel or a B&B. I will return. less

The staff members, while friendly and generally helpful, seem too concerned with promoting the activities sponsored by Hostelling International, rather than giving people the best advice pertaining to the city of Mendoza. When we asked various members of the staff what to do on Sunday, they replied that there was little to do besides the horseback riding (through Hostelling International) because everything was closed, despite the fact that Sunday was the last day of a beer festival. less
