Upon check out we asked the staff if we could use the luggage room and they said that we could.... as soon as the payment had gone through and the money handed over we were told we couldn't as it was "full". The staff were very rude, arrogant and patronising and laughing at the situation which made us very angry! This hotel is miles away from any Mumbai's attractions it took 90mins to get anyway of any intrest and wasn't easy to find for taxi drivers. This place is very over priced. The only reason we did not check out early was because it was Christmas and most places were fully booked and we wanted to spend the festive season away from this hotel and not have to deal with the hastle of moving and folking out more cash. Considering that the city center is very expensive, most indians travel 30 min -2 hours to and from their homes to get to work. By train, it takes about half an hour to reach CST.
I really loved my time here. The staff always helped me and often walked me to bus stops and the such. The service is exceptional.
There is not much nightlife here, but that doesn\'t take away from the crazy night time marts and restaurants.
Also, buy yours things in chembur. The city center is much more expensive and you must bargain. In chembur, things are priced and cheaper...which relieves first time travelers.
I really like the hotel here, despite the distance. It made me feel like I experienced what Mumbaiskars would go through everyday. closePatricia (from Australia), June 2008: Value. All these naked undefed kids in streets..Should i say its really far from the center. I easily found a much cleaner guesthouse in Colaba area same day, and they seemed to have many vacant rooms.
