The host family is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our 3-day stay in every aspect.
Yudanaka itself is a small town surrounded by mountains and thus an ideal place for relaxation. There\'s not much to do in terms of sightseeing, except the monkey park which is a must to see. We were quite content with eating well, bathing, wandering about the small town and just general relaxing. close

The baths at Sefiu-so are the perfect temperature and very beautiful. While in town we also tried the best soba in Japan and sumo food at the reccomendation of the Ozeki's. While there check out the Monkey park and canon. close

The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly, and gave great advice on things to do in the area. We came to the area to visit the monkey park (which we did and which was amazing) but we did loads more as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. close

With the day trip opportunities available we would be very happy to make this ryokan our base for a longer stay in the area in future. The mountain climate and indoor and outdoor onsen were the icing on the cake. close

You have to take a train that is not a JR (you can not use the pass) and then you have to take a taxi. Having said that the owner will pick you up for free if you can organize that before and is a nice solution. close
