Close to Oji Station and there's a 24 hours supermarket, all within 1 minute walk. Glad I asked for a japanese style room, which is very spacious and clean. Staff are very helpful. Sad thing is we only stayed for 1 night. I will recommend anyone who goes to the Kansai area to stay in this hotel. Thanks Chris and Shuko to make us an unforgettable stay. close

The staff were all extremly kind and helpful, the room was hugh and very clean. The outside bach and family bath are both really nice, I could relaxe a lot. And after coming back to my room, the futon was already set for the night! If I have a chance, I definitely will stay at Asukaso again! close

It is located directly in the city center, very close to to JR and in fact right next to the Kintetsu Station. Staff is very friendly and eager to try to speak english, even though they are anything but fluent. I can only recomend the hotel but have to say that the breakfast service isn`t that great. The Cafes close by offer a better service for the same price I think. close

The couple who run it were so friendly and helpful, and have put a great deal of love and care into making their ryokan a great place to stay. You can pay extra and have breakfast - I had the Japanese breakfast and it was delicious and beautifully served. The facilities are very good - internet access was most welcome! No ensuite bathrooms but the shared facilities were really nice. My room was bigger than at most of the ryokan I stayed in, and very comfortable. Location is perfect, on a quiet street but still really close to Nara Park and the shopping area. I would love to return to Matsumae and stay longer than one night. Highly recommended. close
