The manager Szilvia was very personable and helpful. The room was spacious for New York with high loft ceilings and the bathrooms were very clean. Most of the other guests were pleasant and friendly and the common area was accessible and comfortable. less

I only rated the fun lower for those who are looking for a hostel with a big entertainment room to meet others in and have drinks. This hostel is more low key for those who like to go to bed at a decent hour and get up early. Great location!! I fell in love with Williamsburg after this trip and so did two of my friends who LIVE in NY! They also agreed, this was more like staying in a cool loft not a hostel. I agree with the other reviwers....Young(the owner) is great. less

This was one of the nicest hostels I\'ve ever stayed in. Somehow we managed to get upgraded from a 10 person dorm room to a private quad (for 3 of us) for free! The location was AMAZING - we were able to walk pretty much everywhere, and if you don\'t want to walk, Penn Station is just down the block. The hostel was very secure - you can\'t get in the front door without a key. I\'d seen comments about a lack of washrooms but we didn\'t have a problem. For what we paid I couldn\'t have been happie less

Excellent location, excellent staff. Matt and Fei Fei were awesome. If I were in town again I would definitely stay there once more. Clean rooms, clean bathroom. It is basically an apartment with four rooms and one bathroom. No complaints at all... their beds were really comfortable - more than the ones from Jazz on the Park. less

I would definitely stay at this hostel again. I loved it!! The women only thing is great.
A few improvements could include:
-better night security for entry into the hostel (we just walked right in at 2:30am)
-the walk to the 110th street subway station at night feels a little scary. but you have to remember you are in harlem.
-the busses make it easy to get around. i loved the location.
Very clean, lovely hostel! less
