Staff are vey friendly and the hostel only has like 12 beds, so it feel like beeing in at home. Would recomend! less

I booked a night. We had for some reasons to stay somewhere else. I paid for this night because the boss told me he was losing money because of me. I understood and gently paid it. He told me my friends who were staying there though in dorms could use it. Whe two hours later they ask for the key, I was gone, I had paid, and he already had rent this room. This is not honnest at all. Don't book here ! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMAND THIS HOTEL ! less

hard to say too much about this place as we only stayed one night. we had a private room with bathroom and it was really clean and modern. its a little way out of Manhattan but we heard from locals that the area is becoming quite trendy and has some great bars, cafe's etc nearby. Overall a great place to stay when visiting NY! Super clean. Staff organizes trips once in a while, and the night walk across Brooklyn Bridge was awesome. I stayed on weekdays, and it was really really quiet. But I hear people definitely have fun and go out on weekends together. The only downside was that the hostel calls this private "cab" to go to the airport, who rip you off and charge $20 more than Yellow Cabs do.
