PS; The green tea provided in the room, with personal tea set, is really good ;) less

I can only say it's the best of the best!! The owners (super nice old couples) are extremely friendly and helpful. The place is soooo clean and extremely comfortable. The dinner I had is the best Japanese food I ever tasted in my whole life. Thank you Sizuo and your wife for providing such superior services for me. I really appreciate it!! less

They picked us & and dropped us at the station which was excellent so it did not matter that it was a bit far from the station. the owner & staff are very friendly.free tea & coffee is good. would recommend as good budget accom but room is quite simple & shower facilities are average. there is a good cheap public bath nearby which is good. less

Not the most convenient location, but is better than staying in Nikko itself where there just isn't that much to do. The owner Ken is one of the nicest, most helpful people that we have met on our travels. The electric blankets are fantastic on a cold night. less

The location is very convenient to the train station which is great if you're lugging bags with you, and also if you're taking the bus in the morning. The woman working the counter in the daytime was very helpful--the guy in the evening less so (slightly rude.) The room was very nice and actually had a lot more amenities than expected. They have a curfew of 11pm, but I can't imagine what you'd be doing that late, as Nikko seems pretty quiet after about 6pm. less
