Hard to say 'No frills accommodation'. Capsule had coin operated tv and was very comfortable with plenty of room. The baths in the basement were a joy with a fantastic sauna and jacuzzi and a sizeable bath and being open all night makes the end of the evening a delight, along with the lounge area where there is a choice of 4 TV channels inc. sport and film. Location is fantastic right next to a decent bar that serves food and 5 minuets walk from Shinshibasi Station (sorry for the poor spelling less

This place has a great location, wonderful staff and very nice and interesting characters live there too!
It is not the ritz, the rooms are small but you do get a lot more than you pay for and the Japanese bath is a great way to end a hard day :-)
The areas rough looks are very deceiving, it is a very friendly place with great local bars for eating (ask for HIDAKI-san's special Okinomiyaki) and drinking,
Money goes far round here
I recommend staying there as I will be back again! less

I love the fact that it's very near subway station. Namba is just 2 stations away and Umeda is just 7 stations away. There are also 3 convenient stores within short walking distance. Spa World is just behind the hotel. At reduced admission of 1000 yen, it's definitely worth visiting. The room is clean and neat. Very plain and simple. Was surprised to find a western room (with bed) instead of Japanese type. Will stay there if I visit Kansai again. less

I just wanted a bed for the night, so wasn't fussy...but this was awful! It was clean(ish) but the room looked like a prison cell. I wouldn't have minded if I could get any sleep but the room backed onto the railway track and the hallway outside was full of dodgy drunk (possibly homeless) men yelling into the early hours! The lock on the door wasn't very secure either (just a push in one) so I felt really unsafe...wouldn't recommend at all. less
