Its a really nice hostel and very quiet so it was nice to have a bit of peace and enjoy the area. There are loads of bars and restaurants nearby but you are guaranteed a good sleep at this hostel. If i came back to the bay of islands i would come back to the YHA. Reception closes at 8pm so make sure you get internet vouchers and washing sorted before then.
