Definitely the best welcome we\'ve had in a B&B so far - Giorgio\'s like a dad (or a buddy) to all travellers. He cares so much about his visitors it\'s hard to leave! We even went to dance tango with him, after he took us to a nice pizzeria and gelateria. You can\'t beat that! The place itself mirrors Giorgio\'s personality - it is full of useful stuff. The area can seem a little rough at first, but you get used to it quickly. Definitely a nice address to go to! less

The hostel isn't a very fancy place, but has some kind of charm. The owner Giorgio is a very nice helpfull man who can be a great help for tips/advise/.. visiting Palermo. He also made us the most wonderful breakfast we ate in Sicily.

Very central, clean, quiet down a side alley in the center, helpful staff though not much English spoken. En suite double room with satellite TV, air con. Highly recommended, though a touch pricier than some other options, in our opinion worth the extra outlay. less

Absolutely superb hostel, and Guiseppe\'s instructions and directions make Palermo a wonderful city to visit. Make sure to get Guieseppe\'s guidance about visiting a fish restaurant down by the waterfront. It was the best food we had while in Italy! Spasibo za vsyo! less

For the price, the room size was great. My girlfriend and I shared a double. It was strange however how when we first checked in we were told we could use certian bathrooms, then they "sold" one to another couple, and one broke and we were left form 12-5:30 not knowing where to go while reception was closed. Sheets did not smell very clean. Very loud from 12am-2am due to location right off Vittorio Emmanuele. less

We stayed at the B&B only for one night but really enjoyed ourselves. Our room was pretty big and clean, more like a hotel room. The staff was really helpful and nice. They even organized early breakfast for us - we had to leave the B&B at 6:30 a.m. Thanks again so much for your kindness and help! If we ever come back to Palermo, we definitely stay at the Al Galileo Siciliano again!! less

A great place to stay in Palermo! The apartment is on a beautiful square, a minute's walk from the sea. Located in the city's historic centre, you are never more than 10-15 minute's away from most of Palermo's monuments. Mr. Gallo was very welcoming, and gave us great tips for getting around. Highly recommended!! less

Noisy street (pubs and clubs with loud music all night long every night); decaying building; basic rooms; no cleaning in the ensuite bathrooms during entire stay; shared showers extremely tiny and uncomfortable. Staff not unfriendly but totally unhelpful. No breakfast; Coke from the fridge 1.50 euros (thrice its cost in any supermarket!). Security low: the hostel-keeper let me into someone else's room to show me how my room's water boiler worked! Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't go again. less
