This was a perfect spot for me. I started each morning walking the 100 meters to the beach and swam before coming back for the nice continental breakfast that the staff laid out of fresh fruit, juices, coffee, pastires and cereal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I plan to return. less

We really liked this place. Great location if you\'re there for the beach (and who isn\'t?), as it has a private path that lets directly onto it. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they locks the gates at 11pm (but give you a key), and the breakfast was tasty and ample. The rooms are a bit primitive, and if you don\'t like ants then be forewarned. This isn\'t a luxury hotel. They\'re cabinas. We found ours charming and adequate. Cheap but tends to attract nice people. Thumbs up! less

I loved this hostel! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Our rooms was nice and clean. The hostel has a great bar (with low beer prices!) on the roof (nice view!) and is very good equiped (kitchen, computers, WIFI,...). The location is awesome: just a few meters to the beach and to 5th Avenue and the bus terminal and wallmart are just in 5 min walking distance! The bathrooms were very nice as well!!! We stayed there two times during our trip and i would definitely stay there again!! less

Extremely friendly beach crowd at this hostel. Everyone working from the front desk to the bar are willing to help and welcome you to Playa. I would recommend as it is just off of Quinta and great location. Ask staff for great food spots aside form the usual 5th ave crowds. Thanks for the great vacation. less

There is a woman on the desk who is really nice and helpful, but I still had to leave ahead of schedule (despite paying up front) because the place was so dirty. It looked like there were people who lived in my dorm so they were quite unfriendly and watched movies on their laptops all night. less

Very convenient location, right in the middle of everything and a minute walk to the beach. Pretty small kitchen for a hostel of that size and a choice of food could be better. Nice helpful guys on a reception although a girl during night shift looked kind of retarded and was obviously more occupied with internet than with her duties. Hostel is a little noisy at night but it was not a big problem. Rooms with balconies have a nice view of the ocean. Recommended, would stay again. less
