This was more of a hotel than a hostel. It had very clean bathroom with hot showers. The room was carpeted and felt warm. Bed was comfortable. Lots of channels on the Tv. It was just dated thats all.. Good location also..The staff have no english and so it lead to some confusion at times unfortunately. It felt a bit unfriendly too but perhaps this was just a language barrier. Good breakfast too (included) But it was $40 per room per night so u would want it to be better than a hostel! less

We arrived at the Point Puno at 5 a.m., far earlier than our check-in time. However 2 staff members welcomed us and immediately hooked us up with our room. THEY HAVE SKYPE and very good internet connection! A staff member, Jose Carlos, helped us out w/ finding good eats and good tours of the city. This Hostel is Highly recommended. Very clean and there is round the clock HOT WATER. If you don´t mind a bit of a hike, this hostel is for you. They also serve Pisco Sours that are delicious! less

Friendly staff, good facilities, good value for money. Only downside is the location. It's located on top of a hill and the town centre at the bottom, so, we need to undertake a painful walk each time we go out for dinner or shopping in the town (or take a taxi). less

This hostel was reasonable. Paid for a double room with a shared bathroom and for this price u only had to share the bathroom and lounge-room with one other room. However I found the hostel owner really condescending when I did not want to use the tour he recommended. However a reasonably descent hostel close to the the plaza de armas. less

This is a friendly but run-of-the-mill budget hostel. Included in the price are cable TV and a simple breakfast. There's also an extremely slow internet connection in the lobby if you really need to check email, etc, but don't expect too much. My minor quibbles included a shower that took five minutes to heat up and even then the water was tepid and pillows that made sacks of cement comfortable. Quibles aside, it's a simple, friendly and reasonably-priced place. less
