This place was more like a nice hotel then a hostel. Staff was Great, friendly and vary helpful. Rooms were super clean, and had plenty of space. Area couldn\'t get any better, loads of food, and drinks with in blocks. If i ever make it back into Iceland, for sure i know where I\'m staying again. Don\'t miss out. less

We stayed at this guesthouse for 4 days and it was the best place we stayed at in Iceland (from 6 hostels all over Iceland). The owner is really friendly and we were lucky to get the room with our own little kitchen and amazingly comfortable beds. You do have to find out where the right bus stop place is, otherwise you may be chasing your tail as we did for the first time. However, the right bus station is near. This hostel is clean, safe and on a bus route. It is also a nice walk along the sea to downtown if you decide not to take the bus. I really enjoyed the breakfast and appreciate getting it along with the bed linens for free by booking with hostelworld. If you need help, the staff is very willing to take the time to resolve your issue. the only drawback is location, flybus does not offer drop off to the guesthouse and if you carrie a luggage like us, there is no way u can walk. Taxi cost ISK1050 which is fine for us. Very quiet location and lovely atmosphere. Good for relaxing after long day tour less

Was about what we expected for the price. Off boring section of Laugavegur, but a brisk walk to downtown. Room clean and pantry stocked. Only two complaints: shower was a clever trap - no idea how to make it consistently hot (and not freezing/scalding), and also that the clothes dryer was out of order when we visited. Minimal interactions with the staff so no complaints or compliments there. Would probably choose something closer to downtown if we go again, though some good hidden shops nearby. less

A comfortable hostel right bang in the centre of bustling Rekjavic. Private rooms in the main building, as well as a mixed dorm block opposite which is quite large, so easy to meet others, although some separation and privacy with the hospital style curtains. Nice communal kitchen and dining area and breakfast if you want to pay extra. Clean and tidy. The manager is very friendly, the other staff less so. less

It is located on the corner of two very busy intersections though, so the street noise is incredibly loud, even with the windows closed. Very hard to get a good nights sleep.
