Incredibly nice staff that likes to have fun and also helps and visitors have fun as well. The location is perfect as I felt very comfortable walking around, even late at night. The hostel is on the gay spot of Rio de Janeiro.Not that´s a problem, but it´s nice to know where you´re staying. The Hostel has no air conditioning system, and in rio that´s necessary, especially at night! It´s not so clean, and the matressess are not so good. The crew is excellent and very helpful and funny. It´s really close to the beach and in a safe area, in the middle of a lot of hostels. There´s always somenthing to do, and they are happy to help.All and all, it´s nice. less

one thing I have to complain is about their 'staying 7 days and the 8th night is free' "promotion", because I asked specifically about that a couple of times, but the 7th day I was given a rather confusing explanation of why the promotion didn't apply in my case, and I had to find another place immediately. fortunately, there are plenty of hostels in Botafogo. lessjodienitschke17021 (Novice Nomad from Australia), November 2009:
