Everything about the Green Tortoise was great!! The location is awesome, the staff is cool and the overall environment is fantastic! Every person is provided with a security box for their stuff (bring a lock!) the bathrooms are nice and clean. Definitely the place to be if you want a fun, unpretentious place to stay at. less

Great place for the money. Only about 8 blocks away from the Pikes Market and shopping (if interested). Big & spacious rooms, great FREE breakfast (waffles, bagels, sandwiches, cheese & ham, fruit, yogurt). Really, really good value for the money, much more than what we expected, thinking that it\'s a hostel, which in fact it\'s a hotel (with room service). Would definitely recommend. less

This is a typical motel with outside entrance to every room and just one twist of a flimsy lock to lock the door. That said, the staff was very helpful and nice and the rooms were cleaned regularly and kept up as best you can expect such a place.
