Really enjoyed it.Daily room tidying, personal cable TV,wireless internet, fab aircon,everything was perfect, beautiful and clean!Peaceful place so not for party animals, but great for us! Host family was kind and helpful too.Breakfast was good.Getting to zoo and night safari was a breeze.It was rainy season so sheltered walk to busstop was a blessing.Not in centre of town,but an easy scenic commute alright!Great value if you're tired of roughing it out, which we are! less

Excellent hostel, the best we stayed at in Singapore. Very friendly staff, easy to find and very clean dorms. Only slight comment is that the mattresses are very thin compared to what used to back in England but would definitely stay there again if was in Singapore. less

Great hostel at a great price. very well located only 2 min away from the MRT and the owner Yang will look after you like familly and answer all your questions and give tips on whats good and not. I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone... ohhhh and there are also lots of GOOD cheap food options just minutes away!!! 10/10 less

7th Story Hotel is an old building, but the interior is decorated nicely and doesn't feel old because of renovations. The location is absolutely brilliant, just 1 stop by MRT from City Hall and a stones throw away from all the major shopping venues and sights. The setup also leaves a lot of potential for interaction with other travelers. I highly recommend staying here. less

there was an incident where a guy jumped into the bed of a girl during the night. she was a bit freaked out about it in the morning and when we told the staff they failed to confront the guy. it is a tricky situation for them but as she has just started her year long travels i feel they should have done something immediately about the incident. less

However, for the private rooms you need to go through the dorm to get to the door or the bathroom.
Although it's a few minutes to the nearest MRT, there's a bus stop opposite that can link you downtown. less

This hostel is worth staying due to its convenient location, only a short walk to either Outram station or chinatown station. And one more thing, enjoy the wonderful Chinese cuisine in Chinatown, cheap and delicious. less

Service World Hostel is located in an amazing location in Chinatown, in front of a very very famous hawker center (food stalls). The hostel itself is a small 2 bedroom flat with 6 bunk beds per room (12 people), and only 1 bathroom. This obviously leads to a lot of stress because some people snore and others don\'t. In addition, the bathroom issue can be problematic at peak hours.
I don't really recommend staying here if you are searching for something more peaceful. less
