It feels like home. Eight Elephants is everything anyone needs from a hostel. It's clean, affordable, a traveler's hot spot, and is located in one of the most active and hip spots in Taipei.
The social aspect is one of the things that truly make this hostel great. CB is a safe haven for backpackers, near the heart of the city. The place is converted from an apartment unit,so you get generous space compared to other hostels. Theres even a balcony with swinging chair! Next to the hostel is a street full of exquisite eateries where warm glows beckon on a cold winter night. A further walk will take you to Shida Night Market, where you can find gd and cheap food. The crew at CB speak very gd english and always ready to help. It was a wonderful place to stay with a warm and friendly feel. I went there alone and had no trouble making friends to tour around Taipei with. It was clean and I felt safe even when I was there alone. They had everything that one could need...from maps to toothpaste. Great Hostel!!! less

This is the first time I came to Taiwan. The people there were really nice and welcoming (including staff)! The hostel itself was very convenient and pleasing. The best part was that the room contains LED light and USB charger. I thought that it was pretty nice and exciting. I'd defitnitly choose Taipei BackPackers next time I visit Taiwan! less

Just only one thing to request is to more frequently clean room for guest who stay quite long e.g. 7 days up.
