Great hostel overall. Only thing: the six-bed dorm was badly ventilated, so the air was rather bad and smelly in the morning.

Clean, friendly and efficient staff, close to the Asakusa station in the North-east part of the city (the exit for the Asakusa line is closer than the one for the Ginza line.) Do note that the lively area in Tokyo is in Shinjuku/Shibuya, in the West/South-west part of the city, and the last train is around 12:30AM. less

Great location in the heart of Asakusa. Neighborhood is "colorful", but still fun. Dorms are decent, with a nice common room. I changed to a private after roommate issues - staff was very accommodating. If getting a private, ask for a Japanese-style room - mine was a bunk bed in a 4-mat room, very cramped! less

We booked for 4 days and when we arrived they told us they had double booked and we needed to move to another place that they had organised down the street for 2 nights. The staff tried to be nice but when the took us to the new place it was horrendous - dark, dreary and terrible facilties and not one staff member who spoke anything but Japanese. I would never again go back to either place. less

This is one of the better places we stayed in Tokyo, especially for its price. It is very clean and the facilities available; internet/dvds/food delivered etc, are excellent. My only suggestion to the place would be that they invest in some softer pillows for guests that dont want to use the rock like Japanese style ones. less

Clean, convenient and the room was bigger than expected. The staff spoke English and was very helpful answering questions and giving directions. Reasonably close to subway and train stations, (walked with a backpack suitcase); a bit further to museums and zoo. Ueno was a fun area to walk through in the evening, and had lots of restaurants. Hotel was on a street that was very quiet. Definitely recommend. less

They made a silly mistake to display the male dorm bed as a 1-bed dorm room! I was horribly surprised that what they are offering is not what i booked for. Also, the place is full of loud, young, smelly and untidy European/American kids. If you want a contemporary Japanese experience don't come here! less
