It looked as though as few things were in need of repair, the shower head won't clip on to the holder, and the towel bar wasn't up but I guess that is to be expected with constant use. The staff was great and the location is perfect for me. I'll definetly stay there again when I return to Toronto in April. less

My room could have done with a bit of sprucing up esp in the bathroom (annoying theres only one toilet and shower between 8 girls and no other toilets on same floor.)
Also my mattress felt like it was caving in
But good location and they have events going on for people staying a while like Thanksgiving dinner. less

fantastic place to stay, the owner was great in letting us check out later and we met some cool folk there. there is a communal kitchen where you can meet up and as some of the comments below, its more like hotel with a kitchen rather than a hostel. the room was big with a tv, free internet & wireless and you can arrange for washing to be done for $5.00 - recommended !! less

Man, this place was cool... My girl and I were on the third floor, we had the bathroom three steps away, a big, beautiful stain glass window, our own balcony, and pretty much everything we needed. The location was great, not to far from anything you'd want to see. A good place to go :) less

The area was sketchy as hell, the rooms themselves were nice and very big (but smelled a little funky). There were useful guides of the city that I found very helpful. Parking was ridiculously expensive (as you are not allowed to park on that street at night). I had a lot of trouble with getting in touch with the staff and they keep the laundry room locked (they kept other guests waiting to check in for hours). less
