They were very welcoming and friendly - picked us up from, and dropped us off to, the train station. They also organised a great personalised trip to the National Park in Terelj. Very highly recommended. close

We stayed at UB Guesthouse too, and i would recommend the latter as you get the same or better quality for half the price!!
Host - v helpful, picked us up from train station, drove us around the city to sort out our flight tickets / exchange money etc.
However they were trying to charge us 500USD for a ger camp trip, when we could (and did) get the same for 170USD (for 2 persons) from UB Guesthouse (!!!) close

Not too much extra, but I would highly recommend for the warmer months. It got a bit cold to use the toilet and shower that were outside towards the end of our stay and thus had to move on. If you are looking for a great journey to the Terilj National park (and you don't want to stay in the tourist gers) I suggest booking through Oyuna. We stayed alone in a Mongolian Nomad family's extra ger where they fed us and made us feel very welcome into their lives. It was a once in a lifetime experience! close

When I was there, no hot water was available due to construction in the courtyard, though this should have been resolved within a few days. The guest house is pretty hard to find - it's on Peace Ave opposite the post office on the south side of the street. You have to enter a courtyard and go into one of the entryways (it's on the second floor). close

day, the owner kept trying to get more and more money from us. There were no kitchen facilities. The Laundry done for $3 came back unfolded, 2 days later and smelling of cigarette smoke. It was the worst experience I have been through with a hostel. A lady hired by him had the TV and control of the hot water pot. Breakfast consisted of cookies and weak tea. close
