Very artistically decorated and very well situated. Kitchen well equiped and internet fast enough. I had some issues to control the temperature of the shower water and we felt a bit cold in the evenings because the heating was not on and the weather is not yet warm enough. But overall it is a nice hostel for the price it costs. less

Very kind and helpfull staff and a lot of nice restaurants, bars on walking distance. Located a few blocks from the where the action is, up a gentle hill. The neighborhood has a lot of character -- some nice bars with music.

Licantay in Valparaiso is by far the best hostel I have stayed in so far in my life! I came alone to Valparaiso without knowing anything or anyone there. Licantay really made me feel welcome and the satff really made an effort to help me out. show me where to go and such. The manager Gonzales makes an incredible BBQ! Its one of these BBQ where you just stop up and say HEY is this a Hostel or a five star restaurant?? But yes it is a Hostel.
