I have never stayed in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect. The only reason I stayed was because it had good reviews on Hostelworld.com. I was impressed with everything the staff, the rooms and overall stay. The bus is just a short ride from venice and once we figured out which side of the street to be on it was a breeze. Location on the island is brilliant, being in front of FMN. Makes for an easier arrival as you won't get lost in the maze of Venice. Yet it's away from the really crowded touristy venues. I didn\'t get to stay here as the guest who was suppose to check out got sick and extended their stay, but they moved me to their sister hotel next to the Accademia bridge so it was like an upgrade because instead of a private bath/2 singles, we got shared bath/double and view of grand canal/accademia bridge. The receptionist was great and even helped us with out luggage to the new place. less
