Showbiz Inn was one of my favourite hostels in China. Michael, Sophie and JC were so helpful and made our stay realy enjoyable. Our double room was massive and very clean. Really nice atmosphere throughout the hostel and the rooftop bar is really good fun! But the only thing is, sometimes the noise from the bar can carry throughout the hostel but they are working on putting in a door to the rooftop to fix it! Apart from that tiny issue the place was excellant less

This was a perfect place for us, just what we where looking for! It is located outside of Yangshuo town, which is a good thing as the Outside Inn is nicely situated in the quiet countryside away from chaos and souvenir-vendors. Our room was really cozy and the staff was very nice and helpful to us. Also, the food is really good and affordable. We ended up extending our stay and had some perfect days in the area, much thanks to Michael, Nadine, Wendy and the rest of the staff. less

A beautiful, peaceful, place. It's a little far away and hard to find when you first arrive in Yangshuo, but once you find it, it's just you and rural China...and we wouldn't have it any other way. A stone's throw from the Yulong River, a bike ride away from many of Yangshuo's greatest attractions, it was the ultimate escape. less

This is a truely exceptional hostel/guesthouse. We were told about this place by word of mouth whilst on our travels. Originally we planned to stay in Yangshou for 3 days, a week later we were still there and staying here in the giggling tree! Having stayed in the town, which may offer cheaper accomodation, but at a price, None of the town hostels can offer you what the giggling tree does. Location, Location, Location. The staff are very helpful and food was awesome too. Go to the giggling tree. less

SECURITY: I was given a key for what I assumed to be a locker somewhere, but was not shown or told where the lockers were. LOCATION: On the good side, it really is off the beaten path, so you get to discover the local people right in their habitat. The river and some beautiful walks are right around the hostel; However, if you want to see anything else than what\'s around the hostel (or eat anywhere else), you need to pay 30 rmb to get into town to take a bus somewhere else. Plus, it is at the end of a less

The food was AMAZING! and it is included in the price. The staff is also incredible. We spoke some chinese and so it made our life easier in general. However, they master englsh pretty well. This is a place to experience great Chinese hospitality
The rooms were also super super clean.
The downsides of this hostel is the location. it is good 20 minute walk from downtown. And, the fact that it has no western style toilets. Besides that it is a great place to stay. less

This place was really great - Xingping is a small village about an hour from Yangshou with jaw dropping views and untouristy vibe. The hostel was pretty and very well located. From our room (402) we could see the limestone Karsts rising from the river. I wish there had been breakfast at the hostel and some more advice on things to do in the area. less

a great place to stay. it is a hotel so its not great for solo travelers trying to meet people, but i knew that before i decided to stay here. however, it is very clean, the staff is very friendly, and it is off of the main street so you can walk to town and party and still get a good sleep. i will probably stay here again if i come back in march and i still have $, but there are other good places that are cheaper if you look around town. i talked to people that had nice rooms for half the price less

We spent 5 nights at Monkey Jane's. Our room was spacious and clean with good beds. The bar is fantastic and attracts a good crowd of friendly travellers who enjoy a drink and socialising, and the view from the roof top bar is unbeatable!
